Best Way to Start a League

I'm trying to start a league with a draft and I was wondering what other commissioners used to start their leagues.

Hey, I like the idea of this thread. Any suggestions?

You'll need a server (for FTP purposes) and probably a forum. I haven't been involved in the starting of one, so others can probably chime in with directions...

If you hit up the Help File (the ? button top right in-game), look for "Multi-Player Game Overview"

Has some general instructions.

Aside from that is having some forums for people to communicate. FTP server & webspace for files and forum. Hosting is relatively cheap, just shop around.

Also have a direction and a good setup ahead of time. Say for instance Rules & regulations. Whether or not you're doing fake/real teams - if GM's will have control over names or their own logos.......etc...etc.

With that said, I have not started one up myself, but I do have webspace and was considering it when I got a little more experience with the game because I'd want it to be done nicely instead of just getting like 2 people and flopping............though I'd honestly be fine with just a few people as I'm already paying for webspace anyway, and have a lot of free time to mess around :P

I really recommend joining an existing league to get a feel for how it works before trying to start one on your own.
