EagleFan 03-12-2015 09:40 PM

lost=last

EagleFan 03-12-2015 09:40 PM

Zombie!!!! Get the shotgun!

path12 03-12-2015 09:45 PM

EF, when are you thinking about Amazing Race 2 and how time intensive is it?

Still have to finish the rules for this one. It will be a two deadline game. The first will be for the race activities and the second for the werewolf activities. Shouldn't be too time intensive. There will be teams racing and it will be a matter of deciding a couple things for your team for the race activities and how ever much time you put into the werewolf searching.

Will use a similar ruleset to last time where players aren't completely out until they have been eliminated from the race and the werewolf portion of the game.

Probably won't have it ready for a couple weeks, should give someone else a chance to run a game.

EagleFan 03-12-2015 09:49 PM

Going to tighten up that game a bit from what I learned in the first one. The first one really punished or rewarded players for adding depth and strategy. I still want to reward that but it won't be quite as drastic as before.

EagleFan 03-12-2015 09:57 PM

What's everyone planning on doing to celebrate Pi Day? :)

EagleFan 03-12-2015 10:44 PM

Good night. Growing headache tonight, should try to get some sleep. Will check in tomorrow to see what happened (maybe a quick check from my phone if I am awake at any point).

The Jackal 03-12-2015 10:52 PM

Goddamn hiccups for the last 3 hours

The Jackal 03-12-2015 10:57 PM

Vote Count:

6 - saldana - EagleFan (813), HomerSimpson98 (858), Suicane75 (863), fontisian (866), Grover (898), JAG (912)
1 - Grover - saldana (880)
1 - Suicane75 - path12 (932)

The Jackal 03-12-2015 11:02 PM

In a veritable landslide you have decided that saldana is the next victim.

As you draw him in for his final breath, a guttural noise assaults your ears. After a flash of light, saldana is gone.

saldana was Nosta Khan!

As the flash of light dissipates, you all look around at each other and notice that you are no longer the same image. Normality has been restored. Suddenly, EagleFan stumbles to the ground.

"Be calm, laddies, and fight proud."

EagleFan was Druss, the Legend and has succumbed to poison.

The Nadir army still awaits outside the gates, and Druss is dead, but the infilitrators have been destroyed. Who can say what happens next?

The Jackal 03-12-2015 11:03 PM

The village wins!

The Jackal 03-12-2015 11:05 PM

Thanks for playing, everyone. I struggled with deciding if the teams were balanced, but I feel pretty confident. The lynch and night action of day 3 could have gone much differently and given the wolves a great chance of winning.

path12 03-12-2015 11:07 PM

Woot!

You guys, I was so close to losing this game for us.

The Jackal 03-12-2015 11:09 PM

I didn't do the stories much justice but anyone who enjoys heroic fantasy should give David Gemmell a shot. Druss and Waylander are two of my all-time favorite literary characters.

path12 03-12-2015 11:10 PM

Thanks for running it Jackal. Had a good time.

The Jackal 03-12-2015 11:11 PM

Who's up next?? I want to play again.

timmae 03-12-2015 11:15 PM

Awesome stuff jackal!! Thanks for running this! Go village (although I didn't help any). Looking forward to the next game so I can learn how to play this damn game!!!!!

EagleFan 03-12-2015 11:59 PM

Thanks for running the game Jackal. Good job village!!!

cheekimonk 03-13-2015 04:58 AM

Thanks, Jackal! And thanks for tolerating a new player, everyone. I got a healthy dose of direct lessons and painful ones. Definitely agree with Jackal that D3 was the turning point. Not sure the village survives if that lynch goes to font instead of me. Again, learned a lot.

Looking forward to next game!

Narcizo 03-13-2015 05:39 AM

You mean Path wasn't a baddy? Damn! ;)

I'm going to be a sad bunny if posting smilies is considered suspicious now.

No doubt. Note: smiley face = baddie. Got it.

Grover 03-13-2015 05:48 AM

Thanks for running a great game Jackal!

Nice job with your first game, it's rough starting out as a wolf.

Thanks for running the game Jackal.

saldana 03-13-2015 07:22 AM

thanks for the game everyone, had a lot of fun with this one...sorry i couldnt stretch it out longer for us

path12 03-13-2015 09:43 AM

I'd have ended up bad if I'd have duked that vote to fontesian like I almost did.

HomerSimpson98 03-13-2015 10:17 AM

Thanks Jackal for putting this together! Enjoyed it!

That day 3 was insane. Font, you are one helluva player.

font, I swear to God I had that spelled correctly. My phone autocorrected to my misspelling from earlier.

Kill the witch!

It's highly circumstantial. Path's lightheartedness at the beginning of the game, for example, was a small towntell.

Path: It's too late. The damage is done. Especially because you didn't just edit it out of history.

EagleFan 03-13-2015 10:28 PM

Even though I was giving her crap on day one, I felt better about fontesian after that...

fontisian 03-13-2015 10:40 PM

There will be a reckoning.

I'm generally striving for honesty at this point of my life.

cheekimonk 03-14-2015 06:26 AM

By far the most perplexing thing to me (though I'm certain there were other nuances I may have missed completely) was the argument, put in writing by font...even if others thought it, that the level of indignation at being a target was an indication of my good/evil status. But it is supported here: WW strategies: see "Agnespoodle Method of Villager Identification (AMVI)".

I'm an analytical person by nature. I manage teams that are a broad mix of personalities and I constantly deal in negotiations. Vociferous indignation has never been an indicator of right/wrong or truth/lie, just a distinct personality type. I guess it's a meta-game element that is so establish one has to start from that baseline.

fontisian 03-14-2015 12:09 PM

My question would be how you see yourself acting and feeling in that exact situation, except as town.

Would you still have posted this?

With your reveal, voting me out takes us to 6:3 at best, 5:4 at worst (lynching me, your death, and their NK). This could be a game-deciding vote so I at least want to know I made my case and it isn't just carelessness that got me, and the village, killed. I'd like to play with you guys again in the future. :D

When I read that, I see curiosity as to what got you caught and how you were careless, and an attempt (perhaps subconscious) to be nice to EF and the other players as a whole so that they'll be nice and refrain from voting you.

Suicane75 03-14-2015 12:27 PM

Thanks for running the game Jackal, I enjoyed.

path12 03-14-2015 03:26 PM

Agnespoodle, there's a name I haven't seen in awhile. I think the BGG group, insidery as it can be, is a great place to learn more about this game. I did a three - four month immersion there years ago when trying to understand what was going on.

As badly as I played this time I should head over there again.

If you do, poke around and look for some of us. CrimsonFox is on a break I think, but Autumn has played over there (DannyHammer), Danny a time or two (Danny4), EF does sometimes (same name), and I'm signed up for a bunch.

EagleFan 03-14-2015 07:03 PM

Been a while since I played there. Can be fun but overwhelming at times. Remember the first game I signed up for and when checking in after work on day one I was like 15 pages behind.

Poli 03-26-2015 11:37 AM

Sorry I couldn't follow along on this.

Ronn91 08-08-2019 11:26 PM

Raven was someone I was thinking about for that reason also Zinto. I need to read back though, haven't been able to devote much time to the thread today.
