FOFCTB - Bowl Games due by Fri 11:59 PM
Switches:
In: Indiana Hoosiers (Kodos), Dean Bulldogs (Foz), Grand Valley Lakers (Cmp) Out: Indiana Hoosiers (Base), South Florida, Louisville Switched Conferences: Indiana Hoosiers to Big East; Syracuse to Big 10 Ole Miss (Grammaticus) to Big East; West Virginia to Big 10 Invites are going out: Assuming we get everyone signed up and all set, I think a deadline of Tuesday at 11 PM Eastern for recruiting is doable? |
Sounds good to me.
btw, ignore the varsity level, I changed it to AA, but I need to update the week before it takes effect
do you guys have many players? id like to find a active full dynasty league, my gamertag is earleastwood
we only have a few right now, tramel: It's a small league.
ok thanks, add me on up on xbox anyone wants to play sometime
I will join up and get my recruiting in tonight.
I have pretty much setup my recruiting board. Wow, only one 4 star with any top 10 interest.
Go ahead and change my FCS school with Arkansas, Miss. St., Vandy or Memphis. Also, I only have 11 games listed. So if you can add a 12th with one of those teams too. Other than that, I'm ready to go. I will be out of town until late Friday night or Saturday morning, so I won't complete week one until then. |
I'm ready to advance.
Ok, I'll try to edit the schedules shortly and get it started..
Week 1 is up!
Games and recruiting due in by Saturday night at 11:59 PM EDT Week 1 Games: Ole Miss vs #20 Arkansas Dean vs Kentucky Indiana AT Akron Grand Valley vs FCS West *** (*** Once they Join, sorry, cmp, I thought you were ready and didn't check! I'll let it go, rather then have everyone redo their boards, and I'll double check from now on) |
Well, game one is in the books, Dean defeats Kentucky 20-7, lead by Junior Dedrick Whitmore, who had 21 carries for 212 yards, (most of which came on two TD runs at the end of either half, one of 68, the other of 30 or so, the highlights are going up shortly)
Oops. I should have told you to replace my FCS opponents. Oh well. I get to have a couple of cupcakes. :)
Crap. I forgot to turn off recruiting assistance...
With the help of turnovers, we were up 14-0 on Akron within about 2 minutes of kickoff. From there, things only got worse for the Zips, as we finished the half up 42-0 on our way to a 45-0 shutout. Go Hoosiers!
Looks like Ole Miss is all set. I'll advance to week 2 sometime tonight. Any tweaks to the sliders?
Advanced to Week 2:
Game Files are due in by 11:59 PM on WED! |
Well we have a tough one with Florida. Going to try and shorten the game and hopefully we'll still be in this past halftime.
Dean moved to 2-0 with a 48-0 shutout of Army
I've got Marshall, so hopefully it won't be too tough.
That game went exactly as I hoped it would. My gameplan worked perfectly. We controlled the tempo, kept the ball on the ground, and minus one 72 yard bomb from Florida we would have shut them out. In the third quarter, up 10-7, we had a huge interception return for a touchdown which was the game's final score. Florida scored in first quarter and that was it.
We outgained the Gators 192-165. We ran the ball 33 times for 129 yards. Only threw it 4 times, completing 3 of them for 63 yards and a touchdown. Johnny Daniels only played two quarters because of an injury but ran the ball 20 times in those two quarters for 100 yards. |
I'm hoping to get my game in tonight.
Cool. I won't be home till round 10:30 at the earliest, let me know if you need extension.
Does anyone have a problem with Sun Tzu joining? |
Heh. For some reason, I was thinking tomorrow was the deadline. I will definitely play tonight, probably around 10 EST. :)
Re: Sun Nope. |
We're set to advance.
Indiana kicks the winning FG as time expires to avert overtime. |
Ok: Will advance shortly, and sent Sun Tzu the login details.

35-0 win for Grand Valley. Our defense actually wasn't that good. Western Kentucky moved down the field on us but we were able to force a few turnovers. Over 200 yards rushing for Daniels.
We beat LSU pretty soundly. They got two TDs late in the game when I was killing the clock.
Sorry for the delay, I had some internet service issues. Looks like they are cleared up for now. |
Alright. I'll advance us later tonight
It's the week of cupcakes in the FOFCTB Dynasty, as the following human matchups:

The slaughter is over. IU is ready to advance.
Grand Valley takes care of FAU despite a very poor pass defense.
Ok, will advance shortly.

Note, the deadline is saturday, because I know there is sometimes problems in getting human v human games done. I'd LIKE to get it done earlier mind you :0
Kodos, I'm available anytime at night, after about 9:00 EST.
How about Tuesday at 10 pm EST? (Figures I'd have to play a guy who just kicked my ass last week.... ;) )
Quote:
That will work for me. I'm sure it'll be much closer this time around. |
I'm idle this game week, but I'm going to be out of town this weekend. So, if you advance later in the week, I can get a game in before Friday. Going to Oxford to watch Ole Miss Play Kentucky. Might be ugly on the scene, but it will be lots of fun in The Grove.
