Who will be banned next???
 

With the recent suspensions /bannings I am wondering which one of us will be banned next for our opinions /views .
Heck maybe Im next for posting this thread ......

They were banned/suspended for trolling. There's a line and they crossed it.

I can't think of a single person that was banned for their opinions...

So were they banned or suspended ? If suspended for how long ?

Please read all the posts before posting. They also made some very racist comments. I have no problem with them expressing their opinions, no one does. But there is proper threads to do it in and cotinued trolling and trying their hardest to get a flame war going should get people banned.

Chem, they were trolling and threadjacking, pure and simple. And not on just one or two threads, but many. They should be suspended.

Happy got suspended for jacking every thread Golden posted in, and then dola'ing his own posts to no end.

Blackadar, and GoldenEagle, I looked at that Benson/Harvick thread, you threadjacked it too shouldnt you be suspended for the same?

Back about 8 years ago in the BBS days, when the Web first started becoming popular and all the dimwits from compuserve went in masses to AOL, it was a popular sentiment to ban anyone from AOL just to keep this type away. Some days I really think that is a good idea :)

There's nothing wrong with defending people. It's a good quality. In this case, the choice of the defendee was rather poor.

Then again, it still makes no sense why everytime Hornsmaniac comes up, there's always somebody who wants to defend him.

It's obvious that you have no idea what the problem was. They were posting NASCAR junk on every thread on the board last night. So I baited 'em and they fell for it.

Well, good thing it's not up to you. After having about 10 different threadjackings last night, I got fed up. In addition, I knew it was someone who had already been suspended from the site.

Who's they. From what I've been reading I see only one person, Happy29 posting crap on other threads. So are you judging NASCAR and all of their fans on one person?

It was 3 accounts by the same user, gold.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but you really don't know what you're talking about. Many of the threadjacked threads were deleted. But last night, the board was a mess.

I think the mods found that they were all posting from the same IP address.

Trust me, if I got out of line, SkyDog and Ryan would let me know.

Ok. If there were threads deleted which had this happen to them than I guess I don't know the whole story. Sorry, just going on from what I've read on the board so far. If that's the case then I can understand your frustration.

You see, Jon, I figure you're beating this dead horse for one of two reasons:

1. Those NASCAR comments struck too close to home for you.

2. You're looking for a flame war.

I'll assume #2 for right now.

What I am interested in is an acknowledgement that you crossed the line. Not in baiting the trolls, I could give less than a shit about that, but in the phrasing you chose to do it with. Either you're a regular member or you're a shadow admin free to do as you damned well please. If it's the latter, then Ryan and/or SD should at least admit it so we know who/what we're dealing with.

If another member went to the same place with racial or ethnic slurs, there'd have been a hue & cry. But since you chose to stereotype white, southern guys (which do indeed make up a significant portion of the NASCAR fan base), it looks like that's okay.
