IE5 Help

Somewhat related to Shorty's thread...

In IE 5, my 'maximized' window isn't really maximized. I altered the size so it's close to maximized, but there are still parts of the desktop available outside my 'maximized' window.

Anybody know how to get this truly maximized?

If I haven't been clear (which I probably haven't), I'll provide a screenshot.

Thanks!

As opposed to this Netscape window, which is properly sized...

your IE screenshot looks exactly like my screen. except I have about 1,000,000 less icons in my systray

The way it always used to be for me was the title bar at the top was ALL blue - no adjustable size. I'd like to see if there's a way to regain that status.

Looks like IE is using a different active window border size than Netscape.

The windows setting (XP) is under Display Properties-->Appearance-->Advanced-->Item: Active Window Border. Set it to 1 if it's not 1. You can get to Display Properties via Control Panel-->Display or by right-clicking an empty desktop and selecting Properties.

Other than that, you could poke around to see if you can find a similar setting in IE, but I'm not aware of one.

Well, that helped a bunch dacman. I'm on Windows 95, and the setting was already 1, but I played around with it, and 2 did the trick.

Thanks very much!
