Anyone here bought a new TV lately?
Any recommendations?
|
yes, get a 60-inch HD plasma screen; then get a second for me ;)
Seriously though, a couple years ago I picked up a 27" JVC and think its really nice. It even has RGB connectors on the back so you can get some very, very nice-looking DVD movies goin, as long as your player supports that too. Sony's are very nice too, but I think they are a little overpriced, if you get one on sale though, that may be a good choice. If you want to go digital, I'm not sure, as I don't have too much experience with those. |
Your request is pretty generic. What's your budget?

I got a 42" Toshiba HDTV Widescreen about a month ago, I like it a lot. Has 2 or 3 component inputs, 2 s-video inputs, and just a regular A/V input. Movies and games look great on it, and I don't even have those hooked up w/ the HD cables yet.

Hm. I'd say 1,000 - 1,500...

A couple of weeks ago, I got a 17 inch flat screen plasma t.v. at best buy for $800.00
It's an amazingly good t.v., kind of small though. |

That third link is the one that I was talking about. |
I don't understand HDTV. My parents have it at their house and I will admit it is crystal clear. However IMO I seriously doubt they will ever be able to get many outlets online like their timestables say. Remember this is the same government who said they would father in the metric system and the same entertainment industry that allowed my father to buy over 100 Laser Discs a few years ago for about 50 cents each.
