Ping: All FOFC Poker players

How about running our own private poker tournament and seeing who's the best.. I see from the dynasties we have quite a few, so maybe if we can agree to a client (absolute poker?) and a time, we can imporve by playing each other

MrBug708 07-16-2003 05:20 PM

Sounds...interesting....

RPI-Fan 07-16-2003 05:20 PM

I'm most definitely in...

SirFozzie 07-16-2003 05:28 PM

Cool. I can't get pokerroom's tourney function to work, but Absolute Poker looks NICE.. I've signed up for a couple freerolls in the Online Poker Tour

TredWel 07-16-2003 05:28 PM

Hmmm ... this has possibilties, assuming there's enough interest

Radii 07-16-2003 05:34 PM

I'd love to.

lcjjdnh 07-16-2003 06:06 PM

I'm in, assuming we're using play money and not real money

Pumpy Tudors 07-16-2003 06:11 PM

If it's play money, I want in!

digamma 07-16-2003 06:12 PM

I'm probably still a novice amongst this crowd, but I'd be interested in playing, time permitting.

vtbub 07-16-2003 06:49 PM

Play money sounds good.

sterlingice 07-16-2003 06:50 PM

I'd be interested as long as it doesn't cost anything and it is at a good time.

SI

thealmighty 07-16-2003 06:56 PM

Sounds like fun.

henry296 07-16-2003 07:04 PM

I'm not great, but would play if they day and time work.

Todd

vtbub 07-16-2003 09:54 PM

had a blast, thx guys.

Esquared1 07-17-2003 11:33 AM

Sir Fozzie,

Thanks for setting everything up. I hope we all can get together soon and try it again.

Some guys at work are getting together for the "Little League World Series of Poker" in early August. This was a great practice tool for that. I hope I can win a couple bucks in our real tourney.

Radii 07-17-2003 12:05 PM

that was a lot of fun :) Good idea, Foz

bbor 07-17-2003 12:13 PM

Dammit...i just started playing hold-em on yahoo and i'm hooked......i hope this happens again...i'll be in for sure.

SirFozzie 07-17-2003 12:18 PM

Well, VT suggested we get together Friday night, I'm in the Online Poker Tour day tournament (1 PM) and I think RPI's in the 10 PM tournament that night, but if we wanted to play around that time (or get a heavy FOFC presence in the OPT tournies, since they are free) I'd be cool with it.

MJ4H 07-17-2003 12:24 PM

im in whenever baby. just tell me where and when.

Airhog 07-17-2003 01:06 PM

I might throw down some chips sometime with you guys, It couldnt be friday most likely. But we will see.

primelord 07-17-2003 01:13 PM

I'd be interested in getting in the next one too.

lcjjdnh 07-17-2003 01:20 PM

Maybe it would help if we started a list of AIM, ICQ or something. This way we could tell when everybody is online.

My AIM screename is hermlation.

SirFozzie 07-17-2003 02:15 PM

I posted mine previously :)

For those that don't want to use AIm you should look into installing Gaim.

Gaim Link

It supports AIM, ICQ, Yahoo, MSN, IRC, and few others all in one little IM package. Plus it is open source and no spyware. :)

MJ4H 07-17-2003 05:45 PM

i used to use trillian until i started needing features of yahoo messenger that trillian didnt support (ie conferencing). gaim probably doesnt support it either but ill give it a try.

vtbub 07-17-2003 05:53 PM

AIM is pretty good, I use Trillian most of the time, but somethings are best in AIM.

MJ4H 07-17-2003 06:01 PM

ok got GAIM

add me as MattJones4H under AIM

Congratulations on qualifying for this week's Absolute Poker Challenge tournament. Your successful tournament play has earned you enough points to have your seat reserved for this week's Absolute Poker Challenge tournament held Friday, July 18th at 7pm ET. You and the other top 35 players from this week will compete in this $250 restricted FreeRoll event. This tournament will pay out the top 9 places. Good Luck!

WOOOHOO!

SirFozzie 07-18-2003 12:53 PM

Dola: Finished 42nd in the OPT qualifier, went all in with Trip Aces, and he needed two hearts on the turn and the river to get his flush..

of course he got his flush.
