Update on my rookie QB in Madden 2003
 

Remember the rookie QB I picked late in the 2nd round last season (Mario Mc Coy) ? the one that I named the starter from day 1, trading my two-time TOP QB Jeff Garcia to the Bears to make room for the youngster...

Well he's had a huge season (I coach only) :

3812 yards - 30 TDs
NFL's TOP QB
Pro Bowler
Offensive Rookie of the year

for his achievements, his overall rating made an 8-point jump from 72 to 80 :)

After Pre-Season, Mc Coy's overall rating earned another 3 points.
He has now gone from 72 to 83 in the span of one full season (rookie year) !

I guess he might surpass everyone's expectations ...

That's great! I really wouldn't have expected that from a 2nd rounder in Madden. I'm sure being a rookie starter helped, but WOW, what a season for a rookie!

yeah it's fun playing this guy out...
In our regular season opener (his 2nd Pro season) against the Rams at Candlestick (played last night) he just lighted it out !!!

3 TDS - 405 yards (1 INT though) - 71% completion
He looks even sharper than last year...
He got us past the Rams 31-10 (something I had been unable to do when Garcia was my QB, always losing to to the Rams..)

I'm having a ball watching him play.

EA must have juiced the Euro version.
