Advice on playing with a bandaid
To anyone with enough experience to know, I'm curious as to what kind of performance decrease I can expect to see if I play someone who is bruised. I've got two wingers who are currently at +1 and have at least a chance of converting to the band-aid before wednesday's cup match. One of them will probably ride the pine regardless, but the other one consistently puts up "dominating his wing" whenever he's been in and healthy. The guy who is hurt has solid winger, while the guy slotted currently is inadequate, with a smatering of inadequates in passing and playmaking and defense. My cup opponent puts up poor midfields but brilliant/magnificient type defense ratings, so I would really like to get my star winger in the action, but I can't figure out if it is worth it. He's also technical, so the weather might also be a factor.
Any advice? EDIT : oh yeah, he is also a solid set piece taker with inadequate experience, so there's always the PK's consider as well. |
There's no performance decrease. The only downside is if he gets hurt again, there's a greater chance of a longer term injury.

My personal experience has proven that bruised players do play below their usual level. Here's one example:

Hmm, I try not to play with bandaids cuz that makes them lose their stickieness and then they're not protecting the cut anymore....
OH, you're talking about "bruised by training" or "bruised but playing..." :p I play my guys whenever I can (i.e. whenver they're not sitting out a game due to red/yellow accumulation or due to injury). In theory, I believe that "bandaid players" are more likely to be re-injured, though so far, I haven't notied any appreciable injuries to those who were already slightly injured (again, SO NOT like real life). Just make sure you have docs and physios (I have 2 and 4, respectively, and train 100%) so that if you DO get injured, it goes away quickly (hmmm, more stuff unlike real life...) ~terpk |
