What Civ Should Be Played in Superpower: A Civilization III Dynasty

There's a lot more interest in this dynasty than I expected... which is pretty cool.

I've decided to have 8 Civs total, which I will choose from the following pool:

Germany
Egypt
France
England
China
America
Rome
Russia
Scandanavia (Vikings)
Ireland (Celts)
Mongolia

That's 11 Civs, with only 10 available for the poll, because that's the most I can have, and besides, I'm only including the French so I can beat up on them, I'll never play as them.

Each choice includes the Civ's attributes, and the stats for their unique unit... if you need further explaination for this, go to www.civ3.com or just ask.

I prefer the greeks myself, but then I enjoy the early game, wher the hoplite is the ultimate defensive unit.
