Baylor over Valpo? Are u kidding me?

ESPN is reporting that Scott Drew will be announced as the new head coach at Baylor tommorrow. Considering I will be a freshmen at Valpo this year, this is NOT good news.

Don't worry. Word is Homer Drew will coach the Valpo team again. You'll be in good hands.

This is actually a pretty good opp for Scott. He gets some experience in a large conference with little pressure to succeed.

As long as you're not actually on the basketball team at Valpo, why does it matter?

While Scott Drew may be somewhat unproven as a head coach, he has a track record for being a great recruiter. This will likely effect how good VU's basketball team is, which currently is easily the more exciting team to watch at Valpo.

I can see your point. I guess what I should have titled this thread something like "Baylor over Valpo? Say it ain't so!". I too have now heard Homer will come out of retirement. Hopefully that will be the case.

ESPN.com is reporting Homer Drew comes out of retirement for the Valpo job.

Scott Drew gets a chance to advance his career at a bigger school and Baylor gets someone who's known for having decent integrity, and who's a good recruiter which will be important if they are to ever overcome this mess.

besides, this isnt the baylor football team we are talking about. While not a great baskeball team, they have been fairly decent the past few years.
