...And now it's the 80's, and Brett is the greatest, and Bobby Bonds can play for everyone....
You will be missed Bobby. |
... according to the World Health Organization, in 1999 over 2 million americans died. That's an average of about 5,500 people each day in the US alone.

Very sad news. Bobby Bonds was a very talented player and a valued member of the Giants organization.
In other news... Quote:
Mrbug has no class. Was it really necessary to restate yet again your hatred of Barry in a thread mourning his father's passing? |
Bobby Bonds was a great player with the unfortunate curse of always being traded for whatever reason. He was branded a poor teammate by those who didn't know any better. But everything I've read indicates he was always a good teamplayer well respected by his teammates. He got traded so many times simply out of cirumstance and dumb luck. From what I understand he is nothing like his son. I always liked him as a player. A sad day.

I think that Bonds was an example of management not being able to deal with a unique skill set. If he'd played today, he would have wound up being a Hall of Famer. |
Bobby Bonds was one of my favorite players when I was growing up. Definitely one of the most exciting and talented players of his time.
