coach question...

so here is my current coach.. which i'm perfectly happy with..

Vance Hull (5342302)
53 years, wretched form, healthy
A solid coach who is defensive minded
A sympathetic guy who is temperamental and dishonest.
Has outstanding experience and inadequate leadership abilities.

Now i'm happy with him.. but I have this player on my team now.. and was wondering if he would make a good coach.. the thing i don't understand is that no current players have a "coaching" ability in their stats.. so how do i know if he'd be solid or what?

Buster Wolfe (5026158)
31 years, poor form, healthy
A pleasant guy who is calm and honest.
Has passable experience and solid leadership abilities.

Now if this guy was a solid coach he'd be good.. but how do i make him one of those? and what is the relationship between experience and leadership.. i mean my current player is obviously better in leadership.. but is much lower in experience...

could anyone clarify all this.. maybe because i haven't tried to buy a coach i don't quite understand yet..

You pay to turn them into coaches....and they can only be as good of a coach as their experience, meaning Wolfe could only be at best a passable coach.

FWIW, you can test seeing how much he would cost to turn into a passable/inad/whatever coach by going into the change trainer thing, but not finalizing it.

so that would mean i'd wanna get him up to solid experience first...

exactly

So i'll just hold onto hull until he's inad.. or until wolfe is solid exp. ... b/c solid coaches cost a lot i heard..?

they have compiled a table of coach costs at Hattricks, for both internal and external coaches...

Linky, linky

Basically for a solid experienced player turned into a solid coach, it would cost between 681800 and 794100 euros (US$ is the same)... Leadership has no bearing on the price, only if he has a low vs high solid experience...
