Release date?
 

Has anyone heard a release date for FOF 2004? I've read its a couple of weeks away, but haven't seen a target date. I'm getting ready to start a new career in FOF 4, but since it won't be compatible with the new version, I'm wondering if I should wait for the 2004 version.

The demo will be out before the end of the month, according to Jim. So I'd guess the full version will be out within a few weeks of the demo...

I'll start by picking Friday November 21st.

I'll take November 12th (hell its my birthday.. why not :)

I have to take November 11, then, because that's MY birthday.

November 15th, because it's my birthday, and Jim is notorious for releasing games really late in the day/early the following day, and I could completely see him being up on a Friday or Saturday night doing this (my b-day is a Saturday). :)

February is a cold, cold month.

The same week Vick returns to the field for the Falcons.......i have know idea when that is supposed to be......but sounds good to me...

Damn, if we're going birthdays I'll have to go November 1st. I don't celebrate my birthday though, having decided when I was a lad that I'd rather pick my own day to celebrate not have one thrust on me but there's no way I'm picking April 4th so that won't help me either.

Since FOF2001 came out on my birthday I could go with one of y'alls birthdays but you've already picked them so that's no good.

I'm still irked that TPF moved back their release date which was October 31st as I was planning to pick it up just after midnight on, you guessed it, my birthday but that's out so I just signed up to work overtime instead.

OK, now I'm just rambling and no closer to guessing a release date so I'm going with November 27th which is the birthday of a very cool but nontraditionally celebrated day of thanks and I'd indeed be thankful if any of the games I'm waiting for gets released on that day.

My opinion is that it will be out November 24 or later. Jim hasn't, that I'm aware set any deadlines yet, which is probably a good thing.

wbonnell, when you get to be our age, me being ahead of you is actually a bad thing. :) Nice to know I won't be celebrating my birthday alone (on FOFC that is--if I am celebrating my birthday alone out here in California, I need to find some friends ;) ).

Fonzie, very, very true. I have often noted the significance of Valentine's Day in February as well.

I think it really depends on Jim settling on a distributor. From the chat, I got the impression the game is fairly close to completion, but who will be distributing the game is still up in the air.

Axxon, funny you mention all this, as my birthday is also November 1st and I was planning on getting TPF on that Saturday morning...

Since he's going with ViaTech again, I expect the game will be out pretty soon after the demo is out. My guess is Nov. 4th.

My birthday is the 24th, but I don't think it will be released until the 29th. I just get the feeling that I won't be playing 2k4 during a long and boring holiday.

I would agree, except he hasn't released the demo. So, I say look for the demo Halloween weekend and the game the next.

For some reason I was thinking Jim did a release one year where the demo was released and then the game was released within a week. Is this right or am I thinking of another game?

November 26th, my birthday.

November 8th, at least that's what I hope. I'll be in England between the 4th and 7th of November, so I don't want it released in that period, thank you very much.

I pick one week after the release of the demo. I also think the demo will be released at 4am PST, early tomorrow morning
