Worst Album Covers Ever?

These are in the running...

What's the over/under on the number of posts before someone posts a Ben E Lou cover with SD's naked grandma's house pose spliced in?

johnnyshaka 11-03-2003 05:12 PM

I'd have to say Anal Bum Covers for $1000, Alex!!

Draft Dodger 11-03-2003 05:14 PM

wow

Ben E Lou 11-03-2003 05:18 PM

"Devastatin' Dave, The Turntable Slave"

I'm gonna be laughing about that one for days........

I'm only doing this because of you. I feel so cheap using the same joke twice in one day.

Franklinnoble 11-03-2003 05:54 PM

Imagine what we could do with that photo if we had avatars...

Ksyrup 11-03-2003 09:02 PM

This is a sentence I never thought I would have to read:

"This CD is Ruben Sierra's best."

But the thing is this.....everyone knew it was coming, and it was STILL funny. Well done.

Buccaneer 11-03-2003 09:19 PM

Those album covers were wretchedly hilarious. Too many people not having a clue. But you do have to put yourself into the time and place instead of using current standards. Thanks for posting that.

I don't know Buc, I'd rather make fun of them from afar rather than go to some of those places! They look like nightmare scenes from when I was 7 in over half of them.

cuervo72 11-03-2003 09:36 PM

There's an Edgar Winter cover out there that's pretty bad...

Ah, here we go:

Thanks. It wasn't bad, but what can I say, I had great material to work with. I am partial to this one though.

A younger Fritz I believe (or a picture of a guy that Fritz claimed was him when he was younger)

CamEdwards 11-03-2003 10:17 PM

wow, young Fritz looks like Mrskippy. Who's that in the sunglasses standing next to me?

mckerney 11-03-2003 10:18 PM

Young Fritz - GrantDawg - Ornerydoodoo - CamEdwards

Ksyrup 11-03-2003 10:30 PM

Hahah. These are hilarious. Gawd, these people must've been high on SOMEthing.

Ksyrup 08-19-2004 08:53 AM

I'm digging this one up to post one I missed. That IS Peter Cetera in the back with his...uh...hands full.

Suicane75 08-19-2004 09:00 AM

Now Skydog, you can't tell me that someones boss won't find this objectionable? :D

Ksyrup 08-19-2004 09:07 AM

I think I'm safe from scrutiny because this picture was taken moments before Cetera and his buddy got naked.

sachmo71 08-19-2004 09:25 AM

I miss Chicago...

Passacaglia 08-19-2004 03:45 PM

I can't believe it. When I saw this thread, I totally thought "Hot Streets!" When I didn't see it in the link, I got ready to go find the pic, but someone else posted it! Nice. At one point during college, my roommates and I had a record player, and we borrowed my parents' old albums (this was late 90s), and we made fun of that album cover SO MUCH!

korme 08-19-2004 04:23 PM

There is a part II... scary!

Ksyrup 08-19-2004 09:18 PM

This one isn't all that funny unless you know who Pantera was and how badly they railed against "poseur metal" in the 90's. This one came out in 1988. And yes, that's Phil Anselmo second from the right. I'm not sure what's funnier, this picture or the music, with song titles like Proud to be Loud, Over and Out, and Rock the World.

But hey, at least they turned it around by 1990...
