FORMING A NEW LEAGUE
 

I'm also looking to join a league. Since there are a few of us looking to form a league, and Tredwell is volunteering his superior skills to be the commissioner can we also vote on the following:

1. Lets try to get a league name?

2. How many games will be played a week?

3. Will we use real team names?

4. Is there a way to start off with real player names?

5. What will the injury rating be set at?

6. What will the Salary cap rating be set at?

This should keep us going until the game is released.

1- Say GMFL (General Manager Football League)
2- Say 2, Wed and Sat?
3- Yes, the 32 NFL teams and logos
4- Try to use real names, make or find player file
5- Set injury rating at normal, or is it 100% They are a part of the game and should be there.
6- Set the cap for inflation. Play like the real world. If I am reading that right!

6. I say no inflation. I'm in year 2027 in my current fof4 franchise. QB's making 40 million a year and recievers at 20, tends to confuse me a bit.

Then again we probably won't be advancing far or quickly enough to see a drastic change.

1. League Name - I'm awful at names, so I'll leave this up to the other players.

2. I'd like two games a week. Gallifrey suggested Wednesday and Saturday, and I'm okay with that. I'd be around at about 10-11pm to run the games at that point, so I'm fine with that.

3. I would prefer real team names, but I'm not wedded to the idea.

4. When FOF4 came out, there was a real player name file within a week. Jim tests the games with the real player name file, and it, er ... "leaks out" to the hoi polloi in time. If we want to wait for it to happen, play with the fake names, or even start with a mature OPU, I'm okay with it.

5. I like the injury settings the way they are. 100%.

6. I could go either way on inflation, but I'm intrigued by the idea of no inflation. But before committing the league to that, I'd suggest that we wait and make sure that the AI can deal with no-inflation before committing to it.

I mentioned Wed and Saturday as an idea to get in 2 games a week, have several days to do league things, and not conflict with NFL Sunday, the best day of the week.

But what works with you should be the ticket, as you will have to sim them.

We can vote for all this stuff after sign up but it is a good idea to start discussing it now. Im in for Wednesday and Saturday.
