my kicker

I was in the third round of the draft and didn't really see anyone that couyld fit a huge need for me in 2008. I was the Bears and had just won the Superbowl. So finally I decided I'd get the best kicker in the draft. He looked like he would be a good one. After the first year his ratings were 98, 99, 98, 98. In year two he was all 100. That being said he still only went 27-34 for the year. Pretty dissapointing because he is by and large the greatest rated kicker ever. My scout nis excellent with special teams...what gives? Vanderjagt has kicked 22 straight. I want my kicker to do at least the same. I forgot to mention. I tried to renogotiate his contract...he wanted 3.5 million for the next year.....damn!

I prefer letting this guy take the kicking duties:

Has anyone tried having the kicker be the punter? Vice Versa?

Here are the NFL stats for the current year: http://www.nfl.com/stats/leaders/NFL/FG/2003/regular

With 6 games left to go, it would seem like your kicker is on target with the top NFL stats. I have seen kickers in FOF miss just 1 or 2 in a year. Those are the exceptions. Here is Vanderjagt's stats: http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/12783

You'll see that the 25/25 he's gone for this year is the exception, not his norm.
