Basic HTML converter ready for download.

All,
While we are waiting for that sweet html utility that's in production feel free to grap my new FOFQuikWeb utility for your HTML conversion needs.

It's also on the download section of the GamePlanner website.

Just "print-to-file" your chosen page, run the utility, select the file, select the destination directory, and click "convert". You will find your text file is now an html file.
(It will also allow you to convert multiple files.)

Enjoy.

...and the sticky thread gets another entry.

cthomer5000 11-18-2003 08:53 PM

you magnificent bastard.

The pages produced are so basic that editing them to your tastes will be REALLY simple.

cthomer5000 - you could not have said it any better. Nor could Patton for that matter.

WheelsVT you magnificent bastard, I READ YOUR BOOK!

On an unrelated note, would any of you printing gurus have any idea why, when I print to file, the first letter is cutoff on the left side of my text?

QuikSand had this problem. I don't recall if he ever figured out a fix, or even a cause.

FBPro 11-18-2003 09:38 PM

Thanks for the work, I just tried it out and though basic it should be simple to edit to our liking.

WheelsVT 11-18-2003 09:57 PM

cthomer pointed out a bug. the output did not go to the destination path.
It's fixed now as of 10:50pm, so download it again.
My appologies.
(why am I always releasing code like Microsoft!?)

I had this problem on my laptop with FOF4. As SkyDog pointed out QuikSand did as well. Quik and I were both using Windows 2000. What OS are you on? I never had the problem on my XP desktop and I do not have the problem with FOF 2k4 on XP either. I haven't tried it on my laptop yet.

Federal letter tax, dude. That first letter goes to the IRS.

In case you did not know; every month, qualifying families get a bucket of letters on a per child basis.

I use Windows 2000. I like an OS that doesn't look like a cartoon.

Damn my foolish pride.

I believe this was a Windows 2000 problem - and when I fairly recently applied the latest service pack, it was remedied.

Quick modification to allow you to select more than just *.txt files.
You can now select any file out there.
If you can select it, it will try to convert it.
