Advice needed on potential sale/how much?
 

This guy is the rock of my team and my clown. I figured he would bring in some nice cash, but how much? I just switched off keeper training, and always told myself i would eventually sell him to fincance other areas....

I only have an inad. back-up, so id have to buy a solid keeper...but i figured id have more then enough money to buy other spots or some new trainees...im just not sure if losing a guy who makes my defense soo good is worth that. I pull in 76 NSIs...solid midfield, and am in a very competitive Div.V series. Any help would be great. My team is the Blade Bombers (71724)

Do you have another clown and/or what is your coach's leadership?

man.... i know selling him would bring you in alot of money. (probally 2.2-2.5 million) But if i had him... i wouldn't sell him unless your upgrading to a better keeper. He's a rock and should be a good enough keeper for you for a long time to come.

I agree with Havok wholeheartedly (woah did I say that out loud ;) ) and I would have thought that a trainer keeper would have switched training program with at least a killer keeper on his squad before going to something else... I would assume you'll se a huge hit in defense ratings in going from a formidable keeper to a solid one... Just my opinion, but I am starting to keep an eye on the price of formidable keepers in order to upgrade my solid one, so going to other way wouldn't be the my plan for going forward...

well... if your still training Gaolies then sell him... he's getting to old to train as a goalie. I thought you had switched training programs.

I switched to playmaking this week, but have yet to buy new trainees....so im trying to make a decision...if im going to train keeper i can buy an 18 year old or even 2 and train them...if not i will keep him...thats my dilemma now...

i train keepers as well and was considering selling off both my guys at the start of this season. (1 formidable, 1 brilliant).

I did sell the formidable guy for 1.3 million and picked up a new stud winger and a replacement trainee(18 yo passable).

I changed my mind about selling off my brilliant guy because of the huge ratings drop i would take. Granted I will be able to compete in my series this season and possibly win it all.

I figure i'll sell my now brilliant guy once my new trainee reaches formidable towards the end of the seaon.

and as far as keepers developing as they get older; i think the general rule is that 17-21(22?) are the prime training years as opposed to 17-20 with regular guys
