FOF2004: Salary Negotiations

All right. I have had trouble with this in all the past versions too.

In free agency, let's say a player asks for a 5 year $18.5 million doll deal. I make an offer. It's pending.

A team then offers a 6 year $26 million deal, making that the new high offer.

I have a hell of a time creating a comparable offer that the player will accept. I continuously get the "The player will only sign a five year deal at that salary level."

How do I work that out?

Propose an offer that will have a higher average salary per season. Your first offer was an average of 3.7 mill. The other team is offering an average of 4.33 mill.

Offer 5 years, 22 million and you can probably land him.

Make the last year voidable.
