I've had worse. At least he's sellable.

Uh, you'd be much, much better off selling him. A 17 year old solid would sill go for a bit at this time of the season. So, I'd say sell him and buy an older solid with cash to spare.

And stamina doesn't matter that much for defenders. Could cause a special event, but it's not all that common.

Well he would make a very good trainee. 4 seasons ago I pulled a solid defender a week after this who made the U20 team.

Of course that wouldn't happen these days, but I'ms ure he would sell for more than an older solid. Don't know about a starting price though. $400k maybe?

I listed him for $0. If he doesn't sell, he gets fired.

Not bad, not the best, but not bad... I'll probably keep him in the rotation for friendlies, at least until he pops to passable playmaking... Double passable will make him more interesting on the market...

Presently in limbo, don't know what to do with him in my now crowded keeper rotation. The owner, gm and coaches of the Kickers are in a closed door meeting as we speak. Details later.

To add if he was 17, it would be an open and shut case. He would stay, and probably my older would go.

I vaguely remember that from:
inadequate->passable ~6 weeks
passable->solid is 8-10 weeks
solid->excellent is 16 weeks

Those are with a solid coach. And are just estimates from my Excel (!!!) file tracking my squad week-to-week...

I do not think coaching skill affects youth sqaud levels.
