licencing FOF2 alongside FOF2004
 

Has anyone been able to licence FOF2 with FOF2004 already installed and licenced on the computer ?
For whatever reasons, I can't licence it anymore, the server seems to forbid me...and this "ticks" me a little bit as you can imagine.

I enjoy very much FOF2004 and play that one game all the time, but if Darky can't get his good ol' FOF2 working alongside, he's not going to be thrilled...

Any tips on what to do ?

I needed an update to run FOF2 alongside FOF3 - here are the files that Viatech sent me then, which worked for someone else a few weeks ago.

Ok well I actually had those two files already...and it didn't make it work, unfortunately.
I really don't know if there's any solution for this problem.
Even if I unlicence FOF2004 for a while, I can't launch FOF2 anymore.

The only way to play FOF2 would be to totally reinstall the whole system and then install FOF2 on a elicence-free Windows.

I have both licensed on my machine, running WinXP. I did have to contact Mary Girard (mgirard AT elicense.com) to have her give me the license, because I got the error 23 when trying to license, but both games work fine for me.

PS-I actually have 3 of them licensed....FOF2, FOF4, and FOF2004:D

I was the one that used aej's file to fix the same problem you have. It did work for me. I can't remember if his file was a new version of FOF or a patch that VT sent. The only reason I say this is because VT sent me a file to "patch" the elicense. I thought it was different than a complete full version of the game...corrected.

Bottom line: Make sure that you have tried all the downloads involved with this. I know the problem can be resolved.

I'll try an email to Mary Girard now.
We'll see what happens.
