BCS Bowls Pick 'Em
 

I tried something like this a couple of year's ago in the College Football forum, but there was no interest. Inpsired by Sabotai's NFL playoff pick 'em, I'll try again. I like the idea of adding points if you pick the wrong winner. So ....

Predict the results of the Rose, Orange, Fiesta, and Sugar Bowls. You get one point for each point you miss each team's score by. Add 10 to your score for each incorrect winning team. Lowest score wins.

Example:
You pick OU 24, LSU 13.

The score is LSU 21, OU 17.

You get (24-17) + (21-13) + 10 = 25 points for that game.

I'm not venturing a guess, but Wasbiask all but eliminated him having any chance of winning with such a ridiculous prediction on the Rose Bowl.

This is the same guy that predicted a Cardinal win over the Vikings. No one else saw that one coming. Actually, i don't know jack about college football, but i'm not a big Michigan fan. So anyway, thanks and have a great day.

I, vtbub, and sabotai were the only ones to pick all three winners correctly, while with the exception of OSU's score, The_herd has been very good with each team's points.

This could turn out to be a very close contest.

From looking at everyone's predictions, everybody will pickup mucha mucha points for the Sugar Bowl score.

As silly as my USC score was, i still have 4 people below me? Wow, i feel much better now.

I have this all in a spreadsheet, so I can generate results quickly. Currently ... (edit, hold on for a sec)

I didn't get in on this, but I have bet all the BCS games correctly so far (in real life).

I've got LSU outright tonight.. so they'd better hold on.

Guess I'm out of the running.

OK, I forgot to change an "if" statement. GrantDawg has a big lead now. It would take a big change for him to lose.

Apparently, GrantDawg knows championship games. He picked the Rose Bowl perfectly, and was only one point off for each team in the Sugar Bowl!

vtbub was the only one to correctly pick all four winners, but still finished in a tie for sixth.

Best pick: GrantDawg perfect with the Rose Bowl.
Worst pick: Radii picked the Sugar Bowl as 44-14 Oklahoma.

Kinda proves what I've known all along ...
college football is a Southern thang ;)
