Congrats to the NATIONAL CHAMPIONS from another big time UM fan. You guys deserved it and have earned it. It's just too bad that those east of Colorado have no respect for any Pac-10 team.

I am very, very happy that SC won (watched the 4Q). They had always been one of my favorite teams going back to 1968. Congrats on their (co-)championship!

The BCS didn't cheat USC out of the game LSU cheated southern Cal out of playin OU. Though i might not wanted to play USC after what I saw. 10 yards a clip and a cloud of dust....

Wow that was a hell of a game that USC played. They deserve their share of the National Championship, and an equally well-deserved black eye to the BCS.

Btw, did any of you see the MVP trophy given to Lienhart? WTF? That was the cheesiest looking trophy I've ever seen! You think the Rose Bowl could spring for something better (especially compared to the Rose Bowl Trophy)!

Cheated....? LSU cheated no one out of anything. All universities agreed to the arcane and absurd BCS system. USC agreed to the BCS system. It is a bad system, but it is the system we have and the system all agreed to. The winner of the REAL national championship will be the winner of the Sugar Bowl.

As for LSU's merits, LSU ended the season as the only one of the three -- LSU, USC, OU -- ranked either #2 or #1 in EVERY BCS poll, human or computer. They did not lose to an unranked team, and they DID win their conference championship game. LSU can claim just as much right to be playing for the national championship as either USC or OU.

My own view, btw, is that LSU and USC should be playing in the Sugar Bowl, based on OU's losing its conference championship game. But that is just my opinion. Everyone signed on to the BCS system, including USC. They need to suck it up and accept that. I suspect no one at USC would be crying foul right now if Notre Dame had beaten Syracuse. Let USC have the AP championship; the AP poll is simply one part of the BCS rankings in the present system.

They only won the national championship and the ESPN trophy (the one to the conference with the best record in bowl games) last year... yeah, really a joke... Somehow I think the Big East and Big XII are bigger jokes.
