Check the other thread. Ryan said that they got rid of the posts from the old board for some reason. Something to do with the upcoming upgrade...

We have more members who have never posted on this board, then members who have posted..... and it's not even close....

Actually a difference of less than 200 out of over 3200 posters does seem pretty close to me.

That's not all that disturbing. The fact that JeeberD has more post than Kickstand is very disturbing.

It is to me. It is like a total restructure of what is FOFC. The post leader, instead of being an advanced AI able to post thousands upon thousands of intelligent, informative, and thought provoking post, is now a wise-cracking, hardly ever serious nut (no offense Jeeber). That is a major change. It is somewhat scary.

Maybe the next iteration of this board could just do away with Member Ids and post counts...

one thing i want to know is did i just lose credit for the posts i made, or did i actually get posts deleted by accident? cuz i had some gems that the boards could benefit from and i wouldn't want thos eposts to be lost on future generations.

Much like in a role playing game, I see "post number" as "experience points".
The more you have posted, the more you have contributed one way or another.
It shows your experience on the board, how long you've been there, how much you've made yourself heard...and sometimes, understood.

Anyway, I'd like to see my post count return to what it was.

The more you have posted, the more you have... posted. That's it. That's all it tells you. It really doesn't affect how much you've contributed. There are people who have lots of posts and have also contributed lots, but one doesn't necessarily lead to another.

So Quick, regained almost 4k posts from last night. Guess it took him less than 2 days to beat me again. :( ;)
