Possible Cheater!
This guy's current bid is 300,000...i simply have not the slightest idea of why...maybe someone can enlighten me?

Report it. I remember about 3-5 months ago I went on a cheat finding frenzy. Found about 30-60. Just check for inad Keepers and at a REALLY high bid and you'll find a ton of cheaters.
|
Note to self: Change my cheating strategy.
|
You should go ahead and report it.
Amusing note: The owner of the team that bought the player is named "darkiller". Hmmmmmmmmmmm. :D |
Umm how could anybody cheat?
|
Transfers page => on the Right below "HELP" => report suspected cheaters.
You enter the 2 TeamIds and free text |
Yes, do so. I caught a guy in my league with two teams. He was bidding outragously on his second team's players to move cash to the Div V team he was trying to save.
|
just looked at the transfer, not sure there is cheating, perhaps an error.

Icy, quite often it involves an individual with multiple teams, or opening up new teams to simply buy crappy players from one other team, at highly inflated price... FM |
Here 's what I just found :
Code:
19. Bennie Detraz 1 100 000 Euro (OLTeam) Highly suspicious. Plus, the player's for sale in the keeper section. Plus, the buying team has just sold just about all his players... Plus, the selling team is selling some other outfielders at the same time, all in the keeper section. What do y'all think ? |
Also always make sure the player in question isn't a clown.
|
Best ways to check for cheaters is to:
1: Check the IPs 2: Check the transfer history, see if the teams have traded before 3: Also check to see if the teams have played multiple friendlies. They often shows their familiarity with each other. This basically confirms, isn't necessarily a reason to report. |

This means absolutely nothing. |

Yes, the login times from the same IP is what I sent to the GMs.
Perhaps this isn't cheating, but they will ban him for trying to run two teams. |
The IP's aren't always a certainty of a cheater. For instance, I work in a call center where there are several people with teams all on the same server all on the same IP address.
Example: Wasatch Front: 1/8/2004 at 18.38 from 206.126.***.*** FC Deportivo La Coruna : 1/8/2004 at 16.26 from 206.126.***.*** Orient Express: 1/8/2004 at 14.56 from 206.126.***.*** Twin Lizards: 1/7/2004 at 22.23 from 206.126.***.*** All different people. It just happens that we work at the same company. |
With a firewall/proxy setup everyone on my company's intranet appears to have the exact same IP to anyone on the internet so even the GM's (who can see the entire IP address) have to do a little research.
|
yep sure, but even if it isn't the same person, just someone working for the same company, that plus the transfer price gives you a cheater.

Hey!!! Let's report cosmicjello!!! :) |
Not funny. My days at work would be spent in limbo, aimlessly wandering from webpage to webpage with the lingering thought of a match report or a youth pull that won't happen. Would you do that to someone?
That's the ultimate punishment. Anguish and desolation like the world has never known. Well, maybe not that bad but it would definately suck! |
1. perform transfer search
2. save search results as html file. Save only internal frame, i do it by right-click menu 3. open file with your HTML editor or text editor 4. replace HREF=" with HREF="http://195.149.159.155/Common/ using search & replace function 5. replace HREF=\' with HREF=\'http://195.149.159.155/Common/ 6. next day open hattrick using IP number : http://195.149.159.155/, not www.hattrick.org (important!) 7. catch cheaters |
So does someone have to report a cheater? Wondering because if you saw my thread, I was accused of cheating. Was it a GM or did someone report me? And I had nothing like you guys are describing. I bought 2 players from the same team and sold 2 players to the same different team. Could those 2 teams me the same owner?
Sorry I typed really fast at work. Edited to not sound like an idiot. |
Allright, I was looking at my next opponents transfer history to see if they had improved and here is what I saw :

now I decided to check last connections : Quote:

Oh yeah, and Gil Lusko the guy who sold for 150k€ is an inadequate GK. Did someone say cheater ? |
Quote:
Yeah, HT relies on users to report cheaters. Unless a GM or someone stumbles on one, then you were reported by someone. Whoever did was really bad a spotting cheaters, or had a grudge against you. |
Quote:
dude, the countdown clock is on this guy, all you have to do is send the team numbers to the appropriate GM on the cheat page, put in the summary that the one team has made 10 sales to the other two teams.....and he'll be locked out real fast. if not, just start bitching to any local HT bigwigs you might know.....I won't mention any names :) |
Quote:
me and another guy already reported him yesterday |
He'll most likely be locked out within 48-72 hours then.

and then, we should use our computer geek skills to find him, tar and feather him, and post his pictures on the internet as the total dweeb that has to cheat at hattrick to find fullfillment |
From one of my federation conferences:
For countries with managable transfer list sizes, search for anything with a bid of at least 10k (all values/prices from now on are in US$). Some examples of very simple searches that usually turn up lots of cheaters: Skill/price searches: goalkeeper poor-weak min bid 10k goalkeeper inadequate min bid 60k goalkeeper passable min bid 200k goalkeeper solid min bid 350k Value/price searches: max value 10k min bid 10k min value 10k max value 30k min bid 30k min value 30k max value 60k min bid 60k The value/price searches are preferrably combined with skill values (max experience passable, max scoring skill passable etc.) Please note that not all transfers that turn up with searches like these are cheats. Take especially note of clowns and coaches-to-be. |
