Our second little bundle of love, all 8 pounds 13 ounces of it...
...was born on Thursday at 11:26 eastern time. :)
Mommy and baby are doing great. Mommy was amazing, doing it all without any plain medication, or epidural. She amazes me... As I said in the subject, 8 pounds 13 ounces, and 20 inches long. I'll post a pic when I finish the roll today and get it developped, as we don't have a digital camera... Now I'm getting ready to go back to the hospital... See ya all later, got some daddying to do :) I had almost forgotten that magical feeling of holding your newborn son close to your chest and feel him breath calmly... Life is good right now :) FM edit: in my frenzy to post about him, I forgot to say one thing: it's a boy! :) Name will be Matthew |
Congrats :)

Congrats Frogman!!
A son!! Wow! Good to hear that all is good for you and your new family. |
Congratulations. That's a big baby, especially without any pain medication for the mommy. My wife drugged herself up with the epidural, and ours was only 6 lbs., 9 oz.

Ah, he's arrived at last! Good to hear everything went well. Many congratulations, felicitations och gratulationer (last part is in Swedish)

Thanks for the kind word everyone, very appreciated. Just got back from the hospital, where I spent the whole day, drinking it all in :)
Kiddo's even more amazing now, after only 20 hours on this planet... He's very curious already. I know, I know, he can't see much passed 12 inches, but he's got them big eyes open ad he really looks like he's trying to analyse how stuff works around him :) One thing that has surprised me so far is how little crying he does. And the few times he's started a tiny wail, as soon as he heard my voice, felt I was picking him up, he would stop, almost instantly... nice... Quote:
Yeah, big baby. Now rereading Dolphifan's thread, I read he also had a baby around 8 pounds 13 ounces. Your wife having a small baby or not doesn't matter too much. I've heard that not too many women have 'em without some sort of help nowadays. For those of you asking if there'll be more to come, the answer is probably no. Mommy is up to 35 now, I'm 33, this little one will be the last one. Interesting how our first son took it. So far he's very interested in his little brother. The fact he is almost 7 certainly makes him more able to understand what is going on. So far, no jealousy on his part, we'll see how it plays out, but we plan on involving him with helping us out with little chores. Right now, he can't stop saying how cute and tiny he thinks his borther is... Kiddo's supposed to come back home on Sunday morning, just in time to take a nap and watch his first Pats game with daddy in the afternoon :D FM |
Congrats FrogMan, glad everyone is doing well.
|
Congrats on the new addition to the family. I've really been trying to talk my wife into trying once more for a boy. :)

Good thinking to let football affect him from infancy - perish the thought that he'd prefer ballet dancing or something when he grows up... ;) |
CONGRATS!!!!

Gratz, FrogMan!
