Anybody play Socom 2?

I heard the graphics are sub-par, but what I want to know mostly is the online part any good?

I want to get this game, because I have not played a decent online shooter since my days of Counter-Strike. Now my PC is to old and crappy to get over 12 FPS playing CS!

i love socom II, the online is very fun. graphics are pretty good too.

i have it at the advice of others, but have absolutely NO idea what is going on. have an online hookup, but havent used it yet. if anyone wants to kill me and teach me the game, maybe we can all get a socom game going sometime.

I got it a few days ago, only messed with the SP stuff so far, pretty fun.

I may have to start playing again soon. I wonder what my ranking is now.

Let me know, I'll pick it up. I've been wanting to play it online - like the commercial. :)

Can I Multi play without doing the online thing and how is the SP mode?

I've been addicted to SOCOM II since it's release. I played SOCOM I but the cheaters ruin the online play. So far there have been little glitches in SOCOM II but I don't see people "cheating".

My in game name is I-Bin Pharteen (change the alphabet on the e's to make the e's with a little ' over them).

Post you in game name and we can start playing together...

I have a few more questions to ask.

Are there a lot of cheaters?

Is the USB headset really needed?

Yes, you should use the headset for online games. The game is much more better when you play as a team rather and you need the headset for that.

Like I said in my previous post.. there are small glitches but no cheaters...

How did cheaters take advantage of the 1st game ?

I think I have made my choice. I will be buying Socom 2 (with USB headset) and online adapter.

BTW, Chemical I think there is LAN play, but I don't know about two player split screen.

I used to play SOCOM so much that I was *actually good*- like, I would end up getting 4 or 5 kills most of the time, maybe more, consistently. For so long I was playing and would be lucky to get more than a kill a game.

I am probably going to load up SOCOM II today and create a name. Honestly, last year I played my best stealing a handle that wasn't even mine from FOFC (Hands to the Face - I like it!). I'll think of something different this time around.

Does anybody play SOCOM 4:00 - 6:30 (EST) time? That's the time I usualy get to play... after work before I go workout.
