OT: The Amber Series
 

It's book day!

And now for my favorite, favorite, FAVORITE series of books. Roger Zelazny's 10 book series, Amber.

The first five (they are split up into 2 main themes. Corwin's books and Merlin's books) are absolutely brilliant. The second 5 are very very good, but the ending seemed a bit unsatisfying. Of course, Zelazny died not long after book 10 was published, so who knows.

As a side note, CW also reccommends the Coldfire Trilogy, by CS Freidman. *Excellent* dark fantasy.

Hmm, I might have to give this Coldfire Trilogy a go. I've been looking for a new Fantasy series to read. That sounds intriguing.

The first five were great (Amber series).

The second five were a pale shadow of the original series. They f-ed up the series by trying to explain everything.
