How can I make this game run faster?

I have a 1.6 processor, and like 256 RAM. Any tips? Im starting with like 12 leagues...

Use less leagues, set the database to minimum, put most leagues as background, turn everything else off on your computer.

Run less leagues. My 2.0 GHZ with 512 MB can run about 6 and that is on CM4.

say the words "Marc Vaughn" three times fast.

Ya, you need more RAM, at least kick it up to 512. Also make sure that you are running all leagues but the one you are using in the background; that saves a ton of processing time.

Lets say I run 4 league. EPL, SPL, Germany, and Spain. Is the World Cup still held? Are players from Holland still available?

The world Cup is still played (so is the Champions Cup...). All competitions are still played, just for non-active tourneys and stuff, the stats are pretty much made up.

The top players from Holland are still there, but you get more players the larger the database. So to make all the Dutch players, you need a maximum database.

You were wise to ask here as opposed to the SI forum where you would have had 382 responses within 4 minutes containing the phrase 'dumb yank' in it. :D

Nah. I've never had a problem with them...as opposed to getting RAM from cheaper places (I'm looking at you, Fry's) and having to deal with that.

Yea, I just thought you guys were a bunch of elitist pricks till I went to that board. :)

Turn full detail off on the league you are running as well... you won't be able to view highlights of other matches within the football world but it will speed up the processing time a lot :)
