Yeah, i read all about this as well.

Folks there is no way in hell Uncle Sam will let the f/18 Hornet fall inth wrong hands.

I like the Blue Angels (used to live down the street from the Naval Academy and a neighbor was in them, so he'd always do fly-bys during practice) and fighter jets are cool. I'll put up $100.

Poli 02-17-2004 10:23 PM

Bah. I don't fly. I sail. And junk.

tucker342 02-17-2004 10:31 PM

The person who's selling it is selling several jets....

There's some weird shit that's sold on EBay...

Coffee Warlord 02-17-2004 11:01 PM

As duly appointed XO of our aircraft carrier, I reserve the right to fly our new F/A-18 anytime I bloody well please.

Especially on bombing runs at my company's office.

They just said on danish radio that Denmark is for sale on eBay ??

Ken Griffey Jrs Ferrari was on sale the other day.

damnMikeBrown 02-18-2004 10:07 AM

The ferrari went cheap. Something about it always needing to be in the shop. . .

As the F-18. Spare parts anyone? It may work once, but those things are constantly being broken down & rebuilt. It's not like a car where you can just change the oil & gas her up.

Hell, Iran has a handfull of F-14's. They dont' do anything, because they don't work. The moment the Shah went bye bye, so did our parts supply, and they became so much lethal junk.

vex 02-18-2004 10:44 AM

It was at $220K when I heard it on ESPN radio I believe.
