Can we get back our old smileys?
 

The ones we have now are so bland compared to the old ones. Who else agrees with me?

FOBL has a huge repository of smileys, so I know Simms has the knowledge on how to set this up.

I liked the old more purple than blue sad face though...

I think at a place like this the current amount of smilies is enough, but it would be easy enough to bring back the old smilies (last time, they all imported correctly but the sad face was still a vb default, oddly enough).

I think it gets ridiculous at a big message board like OOTPDev seeing the 56kpowaa on the main list of smilies, and making me have to click to find how to use the simple tongue smilie. On private boards or boards with less traffic, I think that is great fun, but here, I say we go back to the old smilies but keep them at the same amount.

Also, I for a while tried to figure out how to add custom smilie sets to each style - to no avail. For instance, potato smilies for the spuds style, black and white smilies for the Day at the Office, etc.

I am getting a failure to write to directory error when trying to upload through the admin panel, I think it is because of the FTP access being blocked off. I can send you the smilies.

You have some back. It may be a bit. Only one of my machines has the FOFC FTP info, and my wife is using it at the moment. Plus, on this lazy snow day, I'm lounging on the couch with the laptop. You're gonna make me have to get up and upload this??? ;)

I think I may know why we had the problems the last time you gave me something to upload. Is the "new" board (since the vbulletin upgrade) on a different server? I think the FTP info I have is for another server. I don't see a directory structure that matches the directory you want me to upload it to. I'll need to get that info from Ryan S. My FTP info works for uploading the front page, but I'm guessing that this board software is on a different server entirely.

Just to break up the Shorty/SD lovefest... damn man, rise up to your woman and let her know her place... You need to be HWMBO.

And can we get some smilies with monekys on them? Monkeys are funny.
