Are you sure it wasn't "groan folk be groan"? Cause that could mean, like, if a bunch of bad comedians were in a room, and one of the bad comedians made a bad joke, then they all would kind of groan at the joke. Or, more simply, "groan folk be groan."

grown folk means older people 30+; be grown means having adult problems according to my "ghetto" slang.

So it mean older people have adult problems...
