Eliminate the F***ing Elitists! (game)
 

Haven't had a game in awhile, so here goes:

The object of this game is to conquer the board. The board is set up by month-year blocks (see second post). The game ends when only one team remains. The game is played in turns.

• Your team is determined by the month & year of your FOFC "Join Date."
• Each FOFC member can post once per turn, and only for your team. Once your team is eliminated, you can post for any team, but your posts only count as 1/10^th the value of a regular team member.
• Turns are exactly 23 hours, 59 minutes long, and any posts or edits 24 hours or more after the turn begins do not count. Turns are announced by a post from me.
• Each FOFC member post should include one of the two following activities:

1. 1. Defend
   2. Attack: (target)

• You may edit your posts, up until the turn deadline. If your post is edited after the turn deadline, it does not count. If your attack post does not designate a target, it does not count.
• You may only attack a team which is adjacent up, down, or to either side (no diagonals)
• If a team is attacked by more posts than it defends, it is eliminated. The team that contributed the most attack posts conquers the block. In the event of a tie, the eliminated team will be split in half, or if need be determined at random.
• Each month/year team constitutes a single entity, regardless of how many other teams it has defeated. Placement on the board only determines who you can attack or be attacked by. Otherwise, size really does NOT matter. :D

Now, unless I'm mistaken, unless everyone gangs up on the larger months like Oct 2000 (which probably has in the teens or 20s of active users), is there really any hope of a month like little April '02 where only Ardent and I have over 200 posts (and, hence, are active users)?

Side note : Nov '02 has the privilege of hosting 2 game designers, Shaun Sullivan and Markus Heinsson (sorry for the spelling...).

Of course, to counter all that talent, we're stuck with JeeberD... :p

On behalf of my fellow March '01s, I would hereby like to extend an offer of goodwill and cooperation to out neighbors to the east, west, south and beyond. It is in the best interests of our sovereign states to band together to form a bond against the warmongering hordes from the northeast (otherwise known as the October '00's).
