Most bizarre use of the "Race Card" at trial:

From the latest News Of The Weird:

Outside the Box: It was a black male police officer who arrested her, and a black female officer who searched her, but drunk-driving suspect Donna Mills, who is a black New York City judge, still played the race card at her March trial. According to a New York Post report, Mills' lawyer said that the presence of the black officers meant that Mills' race-card defense was being undermined, and that that in itself might be evidence of police racism. (Mills was acquitted, but in subsequent interviews, jurors said the racism argument was inconsequential.)

How did the officers at the scene even know, until after they completed their search, that she needed a defense? How can you undermine someone's defense to a crime they haven't been charged with?

maybe it was a white officer who pulled her over and detained her. I am sure this will be "ripped from the headlines" and put into an upcomming L&O.

She should sue the City, since not only was this pre-emptive racism, but pre-emptive sexism as well. Of course they knew she was a female, so they had a female officer search her, undermining any claim she might have had that a male officer groped her inappropriately.

And while she's at it, she should sue them for failing to use excessive force in detaining her, which clearly undermined any possible lawsuit for injuries she undoubtedly would have sustained during the arrest.

The possibilities are endless! What a brilliant legal mind her attorney has!

maybe she could sue for the cost of her booze, because by arresting her they undermined her buzz.

Now your thinking!

She should sue for a brand new car, since they undermined the wreck she would have gotten in had they not pulled her over.
