Man Fatally Bitten by Sexually Aroused Horse

WARSAW (Reuters) - A sexually excited stallion bit a Polish man to death when he tried to calm the beast, which had become uncontrollably aroused by a nearby mare, police said.

"The 24-year-old man, identified as Robert R., was bitten when he tried to calm his horse, which had become unsettled by the presence of a mare in the vicinity," a duty officer in the Baltic port of Szczecin told Reuters.

The horse went wild and began straining and bucking while pulling a farm cart through the village.

An autopsy would determine whether the direct cause of death was a severed jugular vein or damaged spine, the officer added.

Holy crap...talk about your horrible ways to die.

This is a crazy world.... reading all this stuff lately makes me believe life is just one big joke and when you die you find out that God was just playing with you and slap you on the back...

My friend was just bucked off of a pony on Monday. The first thing I asked him was, "Why the hell were you on a pony?" He didn't really give me a good reason.

I didn't even know that horses had horns.

This happens a lot more often than you'd think, it just usually doesn't result in death, and it's rarely reported. Stallions are notorious biters, especially when they're "worked up." Most studs will actually bite the back of the mare while they're mounting her, presumably to improve their grip, but also as a show of dominance.

Breeding grooms at thoroughbred farms probably get bitten on a daily basis. It's just the nature of the beast.

Horses fatally bitten by horny men is something else that happens alot. Usualy out near where The Afoci lives though. It's very hush hush.
