Glavine no-hitter through 7/Johnson perfect through 2

Lost his perfect game to a Hocking walk, but perfect through 7.

Not sure if its on TV.

korme 05-23-2004 02:08 PM

its not on over here

Philliesfan980 05-23-2004 02:13 PM

Its on MLB.TV if you subscribe.

korme 05-23-2004 02:18 PM

Just watching on Gameday through MLB.com, pitch by pitch, 1 out in the 8th, I don't think he's going to pull it off.

Philliesfan980 05-23-2004 02:20 PM

Its looking like it isn't.

Philliesfan980 05-23-2004 02:21 PM

Double by Pellow. That really sucks for him, it would have been a fairly easy 9th too.

korme 05-23-2004 02:21 PM

Yes, I almost wanted to retract my comment after seeing he'd be facing the end of the order in the 9th. Too bad for Glavine.

Yeah, he's one of the better guys in baseball. He always beat the Phils, but he was a great pitcher, even though he got pitches 6 inches off the plate all the time down there!

korme 05-23-2004 02:25 PM

In other news, RJ has a perfect game through 1 ;) against Florida.

And Cory Lidle is pitching a shutout here in Cincinnati with an inning left, we are about to sweep the Astros. Woohoo.

EagleFan 05-23-2004 02:36 PM

uh oh, Johnson perfect through 2 innings...

EagleFan 05-23-2004 02:37 PM

dola: That's at least 33 consecutive batters that he has retired. That's incredible.

Easy Mac 05-23-2004 02:39 PM

Plus the last 6 of the previous game he pitched.

39 in a row.

korme 05-23-2004 02:47 PM

And that's where it ends

SO they'll be on 2 stations then?

I always love when the Braves and Cubs play, and they end up on TBS, WGN and ESPN... always good for a laugh.

MizzouRah 05-23-2004 07:00 PM

Only one here.

Easy Mac 05-23-2004 07:02 PM

damn. I've seen days when the Cubs/Braves play that they are on all 3 stations.

MizzouRah 05-23-2004 09:14 PM

Used to have the Cardinals on WGN and FSM. I've also seen the Braves - Cubs on TBS and WGN as well Easy Mac.
