better winger towards middle?
I know that wingers toward the middle rely more on stanima/playmaking and less on winger skill, but my question is will I be better off playing someone in this position that still had some winger skill. to help from that sides attack becoming completely worthless. for instance(assuming equal form and experience), should i play
player a stanima: excellent playmaking: excellent winger: wretched player b stanima: excellent playmaking: solid winger: solid Will player b's solid winger skill still help on the attack ratings for that side or is the winger skill of this player not used, or used so low that it doesnt matter? |
I would say playerb would be better if you still want wing attacks from that player. it might also depend on their passing level as well.
if you want just MF strength, player A |
You should buy my solid winger/outstanding PMer ;)
Edit: To answer the question... I really have no idea. |
Winger skill is definitely still used...I just have no idea how much. I think if it were me, I'd want player B...the difference between Excellent and Solid is much less than Wretched and Solid, so I wouldn't mind losing a little bit of that Playmaking.

Does either player have any passing skills? Passing contributes to the wing attack, but does not get reduced by the towards middle order.
Generally, I feel like the towards middle order reduced the winger skill contribution too much to really worry about (well at low skill levels). So I always just play my best (remaining) PMer toward the middle. I would play the second guy as an offensive winger (unless you really need the extra PM). He will still give you a nice midfield boost and give you a solid attack to convert the chances you get. |
Ditto what Masked said

I have to concur with Vince, wretched vs. solid? Much bigger difference than solid vs. excellent! Player A is prolly Exc +0, and player B could be solid +6 for all we know! :)
