This calls for a celebration. Well, maybe not. Maybe if you're in France.

It is also the 1st birthday of my daughter Inès. So we definitely celebrate today :D.

Congrats, Alf. Glad to hear that all is happy in your world this day. Children are wonderful things, after all, and celebrating them is the way to go. It being on Bastille Day just makes it a bit nicer, perhaps.

tk, that isn't a thing a thing we do in France ! She doesn't even know how to "souffler" the candle.

Neither to most US babies...hence there is no candle. Just put the cake out there and she'll do the rest. :D

Yeah, I wondered though, as I wrote it, whether or not that was just an American thing.
