Cup Seedings
 

Stolen from the USA Conference, this is how you figure out your current "rank" in the cup:

If you're the away team: Take your match ID and subtract the Wizards match ID and add 1.

If you're the home team: Subtract Wizards match ID from your match ID and then subtract that number from the number of teams left.
So home seed = # teams left - (your match ID - Wizards match ID)

Note, if Wizards gets eliminated you use the match ID of the team that finished the highest in the ML last year.

Now, a stupid question: how do you find out the number of teams left? I never remember how many teams STARTED in the cup, so I can't back it out...

Nevermind there are 8192 teams in the Cup in the US. Just bothered to look it up. :)

if you go to USA/Cup on the left side menu in hattrick it give you the number of teams in each division left in the cup (and i think total left in the cup)

8192->4096->2048->1024->512->256->128->64->32->16->8->4->2->1

I am ranked 72 entering round 5, at least 3 rounds till I potentially play a home game.

I'm on the road and my game is 23145423

So that's a difference of 219 plus 1 equals seed 220.

That can't be right. In the series above me there are 8 + 32 + 128 teams. Hm... I guess that's possible since I finished 2nd last season.
