Isn't Ireland boycotting international play or something to that effect? I seem to recall mention of this somewhere before, but my old-man brain can't recall the details.

I thought that Ireland was the country that wasn't gonna put on their nat teams players that were not trained in Ireland or something to that effect, but still... weird...

I'm bored, so I went digging into the Northern Ireland National Conference...

I'm afraid I've made the same mistake again. Both friendlies will be a walkover. Obviously there can be no excuses for this. Luckily they're both friendlies so it won't do too much damage.

I've sent an email to the GMs informing them of my wish to resign from both positions.

Hopefully elections will be run soon, I advise you all not to vote for a forgetful git.

Sorry guys, I've let you all down.

And later on...

It's certainly not that i don't have time to do it. that has never been a problem. I believe that my automated system of managment made the job much easier than national managers who do it manually.

My mistake today is the same as my first one. I didn't set a provisional line-up. I'm always relectant to set a team before I've received the results of the National updates but that reluctance has cost the teams experience on two occasions.

Those are the only mistakes I have made, unfortunately they are mistakes taht can't really be justified.

I still stand by my belief that the national and U20 manager should be the same person. It makes things a lot easier and is better for the country in the long run. I will be disappointed if this strategy is not continued.

Automated system? National and U20 manager being the same person? They've got some strange birds in HT-N. Ireland I say.

Edited for WYSIWYG formatting weirdness.

Good thing he's resigning. If an American did that *once*, we'd lynch him. Hell, we almost lynched Slashers for AOWing with a WTM.

Let's not forget about OP and his genius "normal winger" tactic either. :p

Odd excuse since you can still change the line-up either way. Too bad for them.

very odd excuse, especially after having done it once, to do it again. What's the worst that could happen when you set a lineup beforehand? Play players out of form... So what...

Very odd...

It's obvious N. Ireland has made out with this coach.

robbgmaier 07-23-2004 09:27 PM

thinking about automated input turns me on.....I wish I knew what it meant

Poli 07-23-2004 09:30 PM

I'm glad I don't. It obviously worked well for this guy.

TargetPractice6 07-24-2004 01:39 AM

You'd think he'd at least have a default lineup set just in case he did forget to set it one week.
