FOF or TPF - Which has better in game AI?
 

Which game, FOF or TPF, has the better in-game experience?

I may be in the minority, but I'm interested in the coaching aspects more so than the GM. I want a career sim, but I get most of my enjoyment from coaching and calling plays. I play out all of my games, so I want a computer opponent that is tough to beat. Which game does the computer play a smart game of football, manage the clock properly, adjust to your playcalling, etc.?

If you are interested in coaching try http://www.dksports.com Action PC Football. A pretty good game from that side of things, has a VERY minimal, generic career side of things but really isn't worth using that part of the game.

I have used Action for a 16 team multiplayer one on one coaching league for 5 years.

We play head to head over the internet.

Which game is better for GM playability?
 

TPF which I already own or FOF2004 which i have yet to buy?

I am leaning towards FOF2004 even though I own TPF and it is prettier. I do own TCY and I like the "portability" of using both TCY and FOF together :)

TPF is prettier, however FOF seems more solid in the line of gameplay. TPF is a really good first effort, but FOF is tried and true. You won't be sorry with FOF.

FOF it is, now if I can just get my wife to agree to my 5th sports simulation buy!

I don't think there's much question that FOF has the better AI.
