I learned a new word tonight
 

I truly thought I had heard of everything, but tonight the word "merkin" comes up in conversation. it has nothing to do with old Guido Merkins.

it's a pubic hair wig.

Anything to do with Giants top pitching prospect Merkin Valdez? There, that's twice it's come up tonight. ;)

Is that just slang though? Webster seems to think it is a mop for cleaning cannon.

I use a merkin to clean my cannon.

This word was used in an episode of Family Guy. The episode where his disabled neighbor wins the special people olympics. A sports agent asks him if he knows what a merkin is. The disabled neighbor said no, and the agent tells him. :)
