Make it so... :)

Not a problem, actually. If your company uses a WAN, you are probably already able to hit the internet. Just hook a keyboard up, browse to IE, and surf.

I don't have access to the computer in the office. Would it be possible to do that from the terminals that are out on the floor?

Does anyone make miniature keyboards that I could hide from my managers? :D

You get a new job Jeebs?

No, silly. We have touch screen computers out on the floor that we enter orders into...

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I was talking about the terminals. Sorry that I wasn't clear.

If the store uses a wan, or some other direct connection method, you should be able to access the internet on any terminal.

If it's a dialup store, if they connect to an ISP then you can access the internet, but only after the connection is made. Usually, stores only dial up to process credit cards, which is a direct connection and has no need for an ISP, but if you have corporate email, then you may be in luck.

You might have to enable internet connection sharing, though. And a keyboard could probably be hidden for a few days in a waitstation if you have one of those cabinet ones...not that I would know anything about that. :D

I'm pretty sure we're on a direct connection. We upgraded a couple of years ago and afterward the time for credit card purchases was cut way down...

Sachmo, to steal a line from Franklinnoble (who stole it himself)...you complete me... :D

Yeah, sounds like it. Probably using TCP/IP credit card processing.

You should be able to surf from the terminals.
