GUESSTIMATES SIX: Back to School Edition

Well, since Guesstimates Restart got held up.. figure it's up to me to start it up again..

Once again.. The Rules.

1. 5 Questions
2. I give you questions, you give me answers. No research allowed (it's called Guesstimates for a reason, wisenheimer)
3. Closest to the correct answer gets 5, down to 1 for fifth.
4. NEW IN Guesstimates SIX.. THE BIG GUESS. You may designate ONE (1) answer to be your best guess, your "BIG GUESS". IF you score points for that question, you score DOUBLE POINTS. However.. should you fail to score, you will LOSE THREE Points. You do not have to make a "Big Guess".

Question 1. Boston College recently published its figures for the amount of people who applied, admitted, and actually enrolled to attend the Jesuit-sponsored school in 2003-04. 22,424 people applied to the school, and only 6,896 were admitted. How many freshmen actually enrolled at Boston College in 2003-04?

Question 2. The Ivy League has been an official football 1-AA Conference since 1956. The signature game in conference play, of course, is Harvard vs Yale. How many conference championships (including co-championships) do the two teams have combined?

Question 3. ESPN and ESPN 2 have pretty much turned September into College Football Month. Assuming each game lasted the requisite 60 minutes, how many minutes of College Football will the two networks show in September (not including their ESPN PPV package)?

Question 4. Well, nobody said that the good colleges are cheap. In fact, some are downright EXPENSIVE, even with financial aid. Stanford University students have an AVERAGE GPA of 3.90 (and that even includes the Football Team, I'm Told :D). How much in debt is the average Stanford student who received need-based financial aid after graduation?

Question 5. Several public groups conducted a survey of the most widely assigned college textbooks in the fall of 2003 at 10 public colleges and universities in California and Oregon How much did the AVERAGE college student in this study pay for their college textbooks (new and used) in 2003-04?

Oh yes. Two other things.

1. All answers in a Private Message to me. Make sure you NOTE your BIG GUESS if you're making one.
2. Deadline for entries: Friday, 8 PM
