Portis Scare?
 

I just got a frantic message from my brother telling me that on the CBS Sportsline Fantasy football site that Clinton Portis is out 8-12 Weeks, that better not be true? Did anyone else see that? If you have Sportsline fantasy football, it showed up in the Player News section, not in the fake news section that other people in the league can post fake news or trash talk. Please tell me Portis is not out, and Sportsline just made a "boo boo".

It's a hoax - several of these have appeared over the last few days. Someone with the url nfl.8m.net is copying the look of nfl.com and posting "news". There was one about the Cowboys releasing OG Allen and one about a Vick injury.

Confirming this is a hoax according to DC sports radio....

Pheww. I just found that out, our friend works for the Redskins and we called her and she said it is a fake report. Got me scared, I almost had a heart attack on my way home from work. Not because I am a Redskins fan, but Portis was my #1 pick in both of my fantasy football leagues.

Damn!
