FSU vs Miami

What is everyones take on this game?

I'm thinking Rix and FSU will actually do well this year and not need a late game field goal, which they miss.

CHEMICAL SOLDIER 09-10-2004 01:38 PM

Nah! It's gonna come down to another 29-34 yard FG late in the 4th quarter that will seal the game or break the hearts and dreams of millions for another year.

rkmsuf 09-10-2004 01:40 PM

my take

meh

Glengoyne 09-10-2004 01:42 PM

Bah, for a second I thought this was about Fresno State. :D

Noop 09-10-2004 01:43 PM

Well if you ask me.... Deep down inside I know Miami is going to win this game. I wish I could root for Florida State but I can't so tonight either outcome will have me happy and sad at the same time. The Seminole in me says 14-10 The Cane 23-21( Bounce off the goal post or too short) Reality 21-16 Canes win on a special team play either blocked punt, or return.

Butter 09-10-2004 01:56 PM

Hate them both, so if there were some way they could both lose that'd be awesome.

Short of that, I like Chris Rix to figure out a way to lose this one: 23-21.

Me, too. Chris Rix is such a hack. (Now watch him go off tonight:)).

VPI97 09-10-2004 05:21 PM

All five TD's come on interception returns

Yeah, it's possible the defenses for both teams could score more than their offenses!

MylesKnight 09-10-2004 05:39 PM

I'd like to see both programs receive the NCAA's Death Penalty..

Now that would be a pretty solid result.

I'm assuming FSU misses an 8 point field goal as time expires.

Leonidas 09-10-2004 06:22 PM

HUGE homefield edge to the 'Canes, but FSU across the board has much more game experience. If they play this game in Oct/Nov, I think it's the 'Canes all the way. But with it being the first game that inexperience is going to hurt Miami. My head says FSU by 5, but my gut says never take FSU against the 'Canes, so in the end I take Miami by 2.

vex 09-10-2004 07:07 PM

Rooting for FSU, but I figure Miami will win. Criminoles and Cocaines, what a game!

General Mike 09-10-2004 07:38 PM

I hate Brent Musburger.

Eaglesfan27 09-10-2004 08:06 PM

The defense scores the first touchdown. What a surprise.

kingfc22 09-10-2004 08:24 PM

These QB's suck.

You would think a top 10 program could recruit a little better for such an important position.

vex 09-10-2004 08:25 PM

kingfc22, I was going to say the same thing.

vex 09-10-2004 08:26 PM

Dola

But the thing is, they do have better QBs, they're just young. But it's not like they could possibly make any worse decisions.

Tigercat 09-10-2004 08:37 PM

Those refs are horrible. They basically knowingly gave Miami a fourth timeout. They could have called a motion penalty before the snap, because Winston was moving towards the ref signaling the timeout, he was moving before the inadvertent whistle.

vex 09-10-2004 08:47 PM

Or they broke the huddle w/o him being in it.

Eaglesfan27 09-10-2004 08:56 PM

Good night Rix.

kingfc22 09-10-2004 09:40 PM

I bet FSU fans are starting to sweat now.

kingfc22 09-10-2004 09:43 PM

dola

Huge stand there.

druez 09-10-2004 10:05 PM

Rix with an excellent dive for the first. That guy... Now he will throw a pick

JonInMiddleGA 09-10-2004 10:06 PM

Well, Rix tried to throw a pick.

But the FG unit delivers the requisite choke.

druez 09-10-2004 10:07 PM

blocked kick!

druez 09-10-2004 10:07 PM

come on fsu

General Mike 09-10-2004 10:09 PM

way to suck Berlin.

druez 09-10-2004 10:09 PM

berlin with the pick

druez 09-10-2004 10:10 PM

Terrible QBing in this game.

Lord...Berlin couldn't hit the broad side of a barn and who know what the hell Rix is doing half the time. A no look, cross body throw off his back foot is par for the course with him.

VPI97 09-10-2004 10:19 PM

Look at huve putting the pressure on Rix :)

druez 09-10-2004 10:19 PM

Man, they are QBing like I do in NCAA online. I do that crap all the time when I panic. I usually throw picks also. I'm like 14 and 24 hehe.

druez 09-10-2004 10:20 PM

does miami tie it?
I vote no.

VPI97 09-10-2004 10:22 PM

Did Crudup transfer out of Miami or something? Why in the world do they continue to trot out Berlin?

druez 09-10-2004 10:24 PM

the fix is in

druez 09-10-2004 10:26 PM

that wasn't even close to a first down come on....

VPI97 09-10-2004 10:29 PM

JonInMiddleGA 09-10-2004 10:29 PM

Unfrigginbelievable

druez 09-10-2004 10:29 PM

LOL

kingfc22 09-10-2004 10:29 PM

TOUCHDOWN

VPI97 09-10-2004 10:30 PM

If they limited both QB's to only throwing screen passes, this game would be 40-40.

cthomer5000 09-10-2004 10:30 PM

Hey, it's the same 'all-WR screen' offense that Vegas Vic is about to unveil in IHOF.

sovereignstar 09-10-2004 10:31 PM

Moss is so fast, he puts slow motion to shame.
