Georgia at USC

Gamecocks lead 2-0 early. The Dawgs are looking tentative right now. Holtz's boys are in all black unis.

Eaglesfan27 09-11-2004 05:11 PM

Don't confuse me like that.

Ben E Lou 09-11-2004 05:12 PM

Dadgummit. USC up 9-0.

SunDancer 09-11-2004 05:12 PM

I am a Carolina fan. Not a fan of the all black look. (What is Carolina's standard uniform this year? They have like 3 helmet colors, 5 colors of uniforms, ect.).

Beautiful 64-yard TD pass.

They did this a few years ago against Clemson, but it didn't work. After the game, one of the Clemson players said "They came out dressed for a funeral, so the only thing left to do was to bury them."

Ben E Lou 09-11-2004 05:35 PM

Geez. This is awful. Procedure penalty on the first play of the next possession. We're coming unhinged.

JonInMiddleGA 09-11-2004 05:36 PM

Fans, please note: Do NOT scream, at the top of your lungs, "Go Baby Go" repeatedly while your spouse is sleeping off a migraine one room away.

Thanks for the pointer.

grdawg 09-11-2004 05:50 PM

Offense is looking like last year when we couldn't get in the end zone in the red zone. Also why do we always play so conservative, we have a top QB and great WRs, let's spread it out and throw the damn ball, especially now that Ware seems to be hurt.

Ben E Lou 09-11-2004 05:51 PM

Ware has been taken to the locker room to get checked out.

Not kicking dirt on DG or anything, he's a fine college QB, but ... I suspect his TD/INT ratio might have something to do with it.

Ben E Lou 09-11-2004 06:00 PM

16-6 at the half. The offense picked it up a bit, but recurring red zone troubles.

The Gamecocks! Haha! That's the *best* hat ever! Don't know if it's still the same kind, with an 'SC' on the front, and 'Cocks' on the back. Either way, if it wasn't for that hat, I'd have never heard of them.

Ben E Lou 09-11-2004 06:21 PM

Ware is out with a chest contusion for the rest of the day.

grdawg 09-11-2004 06:24 PM

So why haven't we seen Thomas Brown today?

Ben E Lou 09-11-2004 06:28 PM

Reported injury.

Does someone have a fire extinguisher they could let Tim Jennings use?

Not 100% sure, but the timing is odd. Nothing was reported on his injury. Even Munson doesn't seem to know about it. Depth chart was posted this week with him at #2, and Richt indicated in pre-game interviews that he'd get a good bit of playing time. Loran told Larry on-air that he "aggravated" the hamstring injury. (Yeah, the one that was 100% healed.) Either he got hurt during warmups today, or they've decided to redshirt him, and since he played last week they'll need the medical excuse.

Yeah, yeah. Bite me.

Ben E Lou 09-11-2004 06:41 PM

Now we know why they faked the first one...

I figure I'm gonna have a worse experience against a SC school than you're having, so this is all I got left for football tonight

Ben E Lou 09-11-2004 06:51 PM

There we go.

MrBug708 09-11-2004 06:52 PM

I thought the Condoms weren't playing Georgia?

Ben E Lou 09-11-2004 06:52 PM

Just caught a glimpse of Thomas. His helmet is off. That means that he doesn't think he's going to play at all today.

JonInMiddleGA 09-11-2004 07:05 PM

Elsewhere, Georgia Southern leads the Johnson Smith Golden Bulls 64-0 early in the 3rd quarter

Ben E Lou 09-11-2004 07:23 PM

What a stupid move by Cooper.

Ben E Lou 09-11-2004 07:25 PM

WOOHOO!!!

grdawg 09-11-2004 07:25 PM

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

JonInMiddleGA 09-11-2004 07:32 PM

Well, it's been fun while it lasted I supposed. I'm already on TNT

Ben E Lou 09-11-2004 07:36 PM

And with that fumble, this one is just about over. This is the safest 4-point lead I've ever seen.

Ben E Lou 09-11-2004 07:40 PM

Unless, of course, we fumble it right back.

grdawg 09-11-2004 07:45 PM

HUGE defensive stand, now let's not fumble again please

Ben E Lou 09-11-2004 07:45 PM

Nice job of stoppin' 'em on fourth down!

Ben E Lou 09-11-2004 07:50 PM

OH YEAH! INTERCEPTION!!!

grdawg 09-11-2004 07:51 PM

Maybe now I can finally relax

korme 09-11-2004 07:53 PM

thomas was player of the game!!!!!................oh

FBPro 09-11-2004 07:57 PM

Finally!!!!

oliegirl 09-11-2004 08:19 PM

Alright boys, next time you post stuff like this, please give those of us who just spent 3 hours in "Inflatable Hell" instead of watching their beloved 'dawgs, some scores!!!! I had to go searching on ESPN.com to find that we won!

Radii can sleep easy tonight (once he gets from poker) knowing I will be in a good mood tomorrow :)

I just hope they don't drop in the polls since USC is unranked and it was a tough game...

It's a place called Pump it Up...they have rooms full of the inflatable obstacle courses, slides, moon walks that you see at birthday parties and carnivals. I was at a Birthday Party with 30 (yes, 30!) 6 and 7 year olds!!!!! Hence the term, Inflatable Hell :)

FYI...www.pumpitupparty.com

Sounds like an appropriate name for the place, not sure I could survive it. :)

We have 8 6 and 7 year olds coming to the house tomorrow for my son's birthday party...a Super Hero party where they dress as their favorite super hero...why do I do this to myself????

FBPro 09-11-2004 09:06 PM

Hehe, well I've spent extended periods of time around all ages of kids and the elementary age is w/o a doubt the hardest for me to be around.
