Offseason
Well my first Hattirck season is coming to a close and I was looking for some advice about what to do in the offseason. I know that one week is there for qualifiers, but what can I do since I have no chance of promoting this year?
Can I arrange friendlies or train anything? Or is it just a 2 week break for my squad? Any information or recommendations on what to do would be GREAT. |
9/26 Last league match of the season
9/29 Friendly 10/3 Qualifier if you have one, otherwise open date 10/6 Friendly 10/10 End of year bookkeeping - players age, etc... 10/13 First cup game of new season 10/17 First league game of new season Since you only have one match a week, many people take the opportunity to train things that don't require the players to play in a match to get training - primarily Stamina and Set Pieces. |
not to mention starting the people you want in good form for 10/13 and 10;17.
|
I'll work on my usual end of season sticky over the weekend and will post it when I'm done...

Thanks for all the input.

Just find the old one and copy/paste for a template and change the dates, no pain work that way. Then keep the template for next time around. Just thought I'd offer that, though I'm sure you've thought of it already. Tell |
yeah, well when I said "work" I meant what you said. I have the template and all, I only need to fix the dates :)
Sometimes I like to make myself feel important ;) FM |

This may be a dumb question, but do injuries carry over from season to season? I'm sure they do, but would like some confirmation.
|
Yes, indeed they do.

This is an off-year for the U20 lottery, is it not? |
With the new qualification system, off year is a relative term. There will be fewer spots available to youths pulled in the "off year", and those that make the team won't get as much time, but the U.S. definitely used 20-yo's in qualifying.
