Because I have a hard time watching MNF without money on it, I took the over (despite it being quite high at 51).

Do you think that Moss and Owens could somehow have a head-on collision on the field and get them both out of football forever? Special teams maybe?

I'm going to post with reckless abandon here. I really hate the virtual huge screen thing that they place on the field when the teams first come out of the tunnels. It just looks cheesy and needless. I've always gotten pumped enough just hearing the MNF intro music, seeing the aerial views of the stadium, and seeing the players under the lights.

I think an onsides kick situation where they are both on the 'hands' team is your only hope Bucc.

Why the hell was Elling brought back as a kickoff specialist?

To keep the other team from starting at their 40 on every posession?

Not very effective when he can't kick past the 15 with consistency. I understand bringing someone in to do it, but Elling's never been very good at kicking off.

John Madden - one of the most annoying announcers around if not the MOST. Half the crap he says is just stupid.

I'm grateful for the fact that Madden clarified the difference between a reverse and an end-around. Almost all broadcasters call everything where a WR touches the ball a reverse.

John Madden reminds me of a heavier Tim McCarver.

well, he was actually comparing one specific move Westbrook made, and he was compltely correct with the comparison.

Madden is usually a little too 'boom! bam! turducken!,' but when he calms down for a minute and actually talks football he makes some oustanding observations and does a great job explaining plays/schemes/the game in general.

ABC asked the teams to go real light on defense tonight because of needed ratings.

I can see going for it, but there is no way they just lost the game by kicking the field goal.

A backfield consisting of Culpepper and Ahman Green would be lethal..in a literal sense.

How can a guy who is 6-4, 264 lbs have such a big problem gripping a football?? The guy is larger than many linebackers, he handles the ball all the time, can throw it a mile, yet . . .

I think Tiki Barber would be the first team RB there.

Supposedly he has pretty small hands for his size.

same here, I can't see why there would be a disctinction for shotgun vs. under center. It seems like either the QB should be a legal receiver, or he should not be.

How much did the old guy falling play into that call? Didn't seem like the flag was thrown until there were like 4 or 5 guys around the guy on the ground.
